New version of Dynamics Service and Dynamics Maintenance

Dynamics Software will release a new version of Dynamics Software Service Management as well as Dynamics Software Maintenance Management for Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R3 CU8 early July 2015. This version delivers bigger newer features developed during some of our key collaborative development projects with our customers as well as several smaller improvements.

    Service Management

    • Planned Service functionality
      • Supporting the creation of multiple calls for multiple objects based on a simple search and filter option.
      • This new feature can easily support recall processes, and batch generation of calls/tasks. The created calls and tasks can be linked to a separate financial project to keep track of your total recall cost and/or replacement costs.
    • Service Call quotation process
      • This new feature allows you to create a service call quotation without the need to create a call and using existing objects. Once the quote has been approved by the customer the quote can be converted into a new service call or can be added to an existing one. In case the quote was for a new service object, even this service object can be created.
    • Mobile Service Management
      • In the mobile first world offering several mobile options is a necessity. In addition to our existing mobile field service offering we have added an online only portal option for service engineers. This new portal will allow service engineers to complete their service tasks in the field. In addition to the service tasks they will also have direct access to the most relevant customer, service contract and service object information. This new mobile offering is part of our Dynamics AX offering to our partners and customers providing the flexibility to adapt the solution to their needs.

    Maintenance Management

    • Meter based maintenance
      • The functionality to register meter values was introduced in the previous version. Some extensions and enhancements have been made especially for Dynamic Maintenance scheduling based on meter values.

    • Support for interval based schedule in maintenance
      • Periodic maintenance can now be combined with scheduling of maintenance operations that only occur once. This better supports the option to define maintenance operations that are executed in the early stages of the equipment life cycle

    • Mobile Maintenance Management
      • Last year we have introduced our tablet-based Mobile Maintenance solution. On top of some small enhancements, the functionality has now been fully integrated in the Service and Maintenance version, which makes installation and configuration easier.
